A Brief History of Calvary Mission
Calvary
Mission was founded in March 1995 at Samba, Jammu and Kashmir
(North India), by Rev. Pradeep Masih. At the age of 10 he
himself was an orphan, as both parents had passed away. He
was neglected and unwanted along with his 5 brothers and
a sister. His relatives would not take them in.
Pradeep and his younger brother fortunately were brought
to the Emmanuel orphanage in Kota. He was brought up there
with care and love by Dr. M.A. Thomas.
During his childhood he saw hundreds of poor and needy children
wandering in the streets in different parts of India. They
did not have proper shelter, education, love or care. He
longed to be able to help these children one day when he
grew up. He thought the dream would come true through his
strong belief in Almighty God.
Pastor Pradeep has been married to his wife Chanda for 6
years. They have two daughters. Chanda cares for the children
in the orphanage, and is pursuing a bachelor's degree.
The Calvary Mission was started with only 500 Rupees (less
than 20 US Dollars). One of the main objectives of this mission
is to serve the
poor and needy children of his nation.
Whenever we touch the poor and abandoned children, we touch
the suffering body of Jesus Christ. So he decided to work
among them.

Then the King will say to those on his
right 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your
inheritance, the Kingdom prepared for you since the creation
of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something
to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,
I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes
and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me.
I was in prison and you came to visit me. Matthew
